The Church building itself is the former Forest Glade School in what was the Forest Glade School District. Built in the early 1900s as an elementary school for 1st through 8th grades, the building was used for much more than a school. The Forest Glade Sunday School met there every Sunday holding classes for children and adults alike, Worship Services were held with visiting Pastors and Vacation Bible School classes held during the summer. Our Christian roots, materials and teaching came from American Sunday School Union.

In 1950 the Forest Glade School District consolidated with the Snohomish School District, and the last school year at Forest Glade was 1952-1953 with only 14 students in grades 1-8. The Snohomish School District closed Forest Glade School in June 1953. The building never stood idle: with Sunday School classes, Worship Services, Vacation Bible School, Grange meetings, 4-H Club meetings, community events, school reunions and picnics it was the unofficial Community Center.

When the Snohomish School District decided the building was "surplus property" they agreed to sell the building rather than demolish it. Members from the Forest Glade Sunday School made arrangements with the School District to purchase the building for a Church. In 1972 the building officially became known as the Forest Glade Community Church. In 2024 we officially changed our name to Forest Glade Bible Church and adopted a leadership of Pastor, Elders and Deacons.
